It is about dinner time at the Mawr and people are probably gathering and eating at the new Erdman before Parade Night festivities. I have recently seen pictures of the new Erdman and I am a fan of the green, but I think I will be a little disoriented when I first enter sometime in January. An orange juicer would be ideal right about now, as I have come down with a second bout of illness since I've been here. Hopefully i'll be better soon as this one has followed me all throughout my spring break.
Spring break was really fun despite my cold. We stayed at Ellie's house in Ngaruawahia, a little town about an hour away from Auckland. There will be an influx of posts detailing my spring break adventures once i'm feeling a bit better and have gathered pictures, but for now here is a little summary of my week in the north island.
Sunday 28 August 2011: Long bus trip up to Christchurch, spent the night in Wellington with Ellie's friend Tama and his flat mates.
Monday 29 August 2011: Day in Wellington. Visited Te Papa, the museum of New Zealand. We also went to Adrenaline Forest where we did a high ropes course. Flew to Auckland that night.
Tuesday 30 August 2011: Chill day with the Robson's. Went grocery shopping for family dinner. Fed the cows on the farm. I drove a tractor.
Wednesday 31 August 2011: Visited Kelly Tarlton's aquarium in Auckland.
Thursday 01 September 2011: Day in Rotorua, sheep sheering, ZORB-ing, gondola ride, luging, and hot pools
Friday 02 September 2011: Flew back to Dunedin, where it is cold.... again...
Anyways, like I said, there will be details coming shortly, hopefully within the next week. For now though, I hope everyone has a good night!
